About a dozen students, staff, and faculty attended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Salvadore entitled his presentation \u201cThe Many Lives of T\u00e4sfa \u1e62eyon (1510-1552): An Ethiopian Intellectual in Early Modern Rome.\u201d He summarized \u1e62eyon\u2019s roles, achievements, and legacy. He highlighted \u1e62eyon\u2019s contributions to early modern oriental and African studies, and how these efforts were disregarded by modern scholars of Europe.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Salvadore said he is working on a book on the subject.
