{"id":4283,"date":"2023-03-22T08:06:41","date_gmt":"2023-03-22T04:06:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mcmmediahub.aus.edu\/?p=4283"},"modified":"2026-05-11T12:46:52","modified_gmt":"2026-05-11T08:46:52","slug":"students-attend-suturing-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mdcmediahub.aus.edu\/index.php\/2023\/03\/22\/students-attend-suturing-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Students attend suturing workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>By Abdullah Al-Tekreeti<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH \u2013 Using suturing kits and artificial skin models, American University of Sharjah students practiced sewing wounds shut during a March 21 workshop held by AUS\u2019 Network of Students in Medicine and Health and St. George\u2019s University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AUS student and NeSMAH President Tuleen Khalil said that this event gave many pre-med students their \u201cfirst ever hands-on experience in the medical field, even if it\u2019s not true to form.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After the workshop, students interested in the pre-med track were invited to a presentation to learn more about that St. George\u2019s University\u2019s medical programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>NeSMAH is a student-led inter-university organization that aims to guide students interested in careers in fields related to health.
