UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH \u2013The American University of Sharjah College of Arts and Sciences Career Services office launched their Instagram page on April 25, with a message of \u201cExplore. Experience. Connect.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
A three day countdown preceded the launch on the Instagram app. CAS Career Services Manager Hiba Khayata said that the Instagram page would help widen the reach of the office which aims to \u201cprepare students for the future careers and to equip them with the skills needed to succeed in the workplace.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
She added that the office works with students \u201cfrom the first day they join the university until they graduate and even after.\u201d Khayata said that the CAS Career Services connects with different employers to uncover potential internship and job opportunities. She stated that this also helps students to learn more about the \u201cskills required in the future jobs.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Khayata said that the office\u2019s main audience are students and alumni who are very active on social media, particularly Instagram. The CAS Career Services Instagram page seeks to raise awareness about career preparation through tutorials, tips and success stories.
