UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – American University of Sharjah’s College of Engineering has announced that next week it will launch the fall 2026 Shadow program where high school students can experience a day in the life of an AUS engineering student.

The program is free of charge for shortlisted candidates.

An engineering student will be assigned to each high school visitor (from grades 11 and 12) based on their major of interest to guide them throughout the day.

The shadow visits, according to organizers, will last three-to-four hours.

During the program shadowing students can attend classes and laboratory sessions as well as visit and experience AUS facilities. The program enables them to connect with AUS professors and admission advisors.

All participants will receive certificates at an award ceremony at the end of the semester.
