UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Monday’s opening of primary and secondary schools triggered severe traffic congestion affecting many American University of Sharjah-bound commuters.
The influx of school buses and parent vehicles clogged primary access routes leading toward University City.
AUS students faced extended delays and missed the start of early morning classes due to the heavy gridlock.
Local traffic police and campus security personnel worked continuously to manage the overflow of vehicles at AUS’s gated entrances.
