UNIVERSITY CITY, SHARJAH – Hundreds of American University of Sharjah students took part in annual Week of Welcome activities beginning Aug. 24, as student-led organizations offered initiatives targeted at incoming freshmen.
Designed as a cornerstone orientation hosted by the Office of Student Experience and including events organized by the Library and Academic Support Center, the week offered a platform for campus societies to introduce their missions to new students.
Dozens of active clubs set up interactive booths throughout the campus to foster early connections and encourage peer-to-peer engagement.
Organizers emphasized that these opening-week interactions serve as valuable networking opportunities to spark new club memberships.
They added that the high student turnout set a positive tone for involvement throughout the academic year.
